Indigenous Designs uses all natural fiber and seeks to help out artisans, independent businesses, and customers construct an ethical world.
December 17, 2007 —
The Indigenous Designs works to elevate knitting and hand looming artisan cooperatives in some of the poorest regions of South America. The company allocates more of its production cost to the artisan than typical conventional textile companies. This means the artisan makes a fair, living wage as high as three times what they might earn working independently.
In addition, Indigenous Designs partners directly with non-governmental organizations and others that provide training, educational materials, and equipment that otherwise could not be afforded. Many partner organizations also offer no interest assistance loans in these communities. There are now over 300 artisan groups as part of the company's highly skilled production network."

Indigenous Designs have made
Indigenous Designs have made prominent place in international market. Before it was a local affair but with more rights and facilities to artisans its products are flourishing in the fashion industry. By engaging and promoting the indigenous people in designing intricate works our society will be based on sustainability and socially responsive as well. We as consumers can help the indigenous people and keep their designs alive by promoting and using handmade and eco friendly products.
