"Green Ingredients?"

Submitted by Andreina on December 23, 2007 - 23:39.

I am really disappointed to see Aveda listed in the "buy it" column on this website. In the company description, no mention was made of their use of parabens in their products. Parabens are estrogenic, and exposure to estrogenic chemicals has been shown to raise one's risk of breast cancer. They may be trying to do great things for the environment, but I'm not going to put my health at risk by using their products. There are many safer alternatives out there.

Let us know what you consider to be a better alternative to Aveda and we'll add it to the site--and consider pulling down Aveda. Thanks.
