I bought this brand of tennis shoes, Worn Again, last December, and minus a few places unraveling, they've held up with lots of wear and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. And I hate shoes. I wore Birkenstocks sandals for a good 5 or 6 years without interruption.
They are 99% from recycled materials, mine were from the linings of coats and old tires. And equally as awesome, mine slide-on and sorta look like spats. They make unisex shoes and some other items. I bought mine at a boutique store in Brooklyn called Ai Ai Gasa, but I think you can get them on-line too, they are actually a british company. Here's their website:
