How many students does it take to change 15,734 incandescent light bulbs (energy wasting) for energy efficient compact fluorescents? Well, either one very dedicated student with a super-articulated wrists or a whole herd of green-minded kids. Actually, it took kids from 26 schools in two southern California counties to do this illuminating feat. They’re still doing it, carrying on a program from the greening of their schools into their homes. The green schools movement is riding a wave from coast to coast this year.
